Campus Lillehammer

 

In autumn 2003 in cooperation between Gjøvik University College , Mjøskraft AS and Scandicraft AS , was undertaken a project to visualise the Campus Lillehammer area. The objective of this project was to create a photorealistic 3D model of the area, and to explore the modelling tools in PhotoModeler Pro and Gemini Terreng applications. A full 3D photorealistic visualisation has been created for two main buildings in the area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

As the degree of experience, knowledge increased, we been looking for the improvements in the system. There was done a project in between for testing the usage of more tools in the software as well. It is natural to search for more innovative, automated, faster approach.

 

This “Campus Lillehammer” project is also about the area developments. We had an opportunity to take part from the very beginning of the project, when was presented the idea and philosophy of the project, to work with the architects and to deliver created animation of the 3D model further to video production.

 

The customer of the 3D visualisation was satisfied and we can make a note of successful job. This was a very inspiring project and the milestone for future work.
