Daglig leder
Vi ønsker å rekruttere en ny teknologiorientert leder til å være med på å kommersialisere nye produkter med globalt potensial og videreutvikle eksisterende produkter. Daglig leder vil blant annet få ansvar for strategi, foretningsutvikling, økonomi, personal og styring av ressurser i både leveranse- og utviklingsprosjekter. Det ønskelig at ny leder kan lede arbeidet med produksjon av ScanCam gjennom underleverandører og være prosjektansvarlig for videreutviklingen av ScanCam. Kjennskap til et eller flere av følgende fagfelt vil være en fordel; prosjektstyring, kommersialisering, produksjon, UAV systemer, luftfart.
 
Vi søker en systematisk, initiativrik og tydelig leder. Oppnådde resultater og evne til å utvikle positiv bedriftskultur der medarbeidere trives og yter maksimalt tillegges vekt. Kandidaten kan ha teknisk eller merkantil utdanning.
 

Teknisk selger - UAV operatør
For å styrke markedsarbeidet ønsker vi å rekruttere en selvstendig selger som har interesse for UAV teknologi og marked. Teknisk selger vil være ansvarlig for oppfølging av forespørsler, planlegning av salgsaktiviteter og gjennomføring av salgsprosess frem til kontrakt. Det kreves tekniske ferdigheter og interesse for UAV slik at kandidaten kan gjennomføre demonstrasjoner med våre systemer for kunder både i Norden og globalt. Evne til å forstå kundens behov og kunne bygge langsiktige og gode relasjoner vektlegges. Teknisk selger må kunne utrykke seg godt skriftlig og muntlig på norsk og engelsk. Kandidaten kan ha teknisk eller merkantil utdanning, nyutdannede kan også søke.

Scandicraft was featured on TV2, Norway's largest commercial TV station after showing the md4-1000 as a mean to hinder the running over of reindeer by trains in northern Norway. Last winter, over 200 reindeer died after being hit by trains in one particular area. Using md4-1000 with an IR camera triggering an alarm upon detection of reindeer close to the tracks shortly before a train passes could prove an effective way of reducing the number of hits.

Scandicraft will be one of seven finalists in the national competition, where the winner will be announced during fall 2010.

Scandicraft is proud to announce that we have been selected to be one of three finalists the regional final in DnBNOR's Innovation Price 2010. On the 5th of May it will be decided if we proceed to the national final later this year. Our product, the ScanCam200, is thus among the most innovative products this year in Norway. UAS Norway, the Norwegian trade organization for the UAV/UAS sector in Norway, has issued a press relaes regarding the situation after the volcanic activity on Iceland, and the consequences for civilivan air traffic. Scandicraft, as a memeber of UAS Norway, supports the claim that active use of UAS could dramatically influence on and reduce the total social costs of such natural disasters. Scandicraft conducted demos in Northern Norway to show possible use of the md4-1000. Among the interested audience was representatives from the County Governor, the local councils, the Norwegian National Rail Adminstration, and representatives from the local reindeer husbandry. Scandicraft has signed a contract with power company Trondheim Energi to develop a solution for inspection of power lines based on the md4-technology and using the Asign soultion from Ansur. The solution will allow Trondheim Energi to significantly increase the efficiency for locating and assessing faults in their power lines, by using a UAV and transferring low resolution imagery directly to the operations centre for assessment. Via an Asign server, the operator can retrieve any required image, or parts of an image, in high resolution on demand, significantly reducing the amount of data sent on low-band nets.

Scandicraft conducted a successful week in Finland last week. Several demos and presentations were given to police, fire/rescue units, border guards, customs, and also private companies.

Today, the first ScanCam 200 was operational at the test site. Test will be conducted in cooperation with the Norwegian Armed Forces during winter conditions the next 3-4 weeks.

The Geomatics and Powerline inspection services with the employees has moved to two indenpendent companies. Geomatics services is now done by Geosense SA (www.geosense.no) and Powerline inspection and aerial imagery from manned platforms by Sensair AS(www.sensair.no). Scandicraft and the two new companies cooperates closely.
 

Scandicraft has received order and will start to deliver MD systems to the Swedish Police Force.
 

Scandicraft is planning to produce the first ScanCam to be tested by the Norwegian Armed Forces
in January-February 2010. After a thourough process, we have chosen to team up with Prodelox AB in Sweden for design and prototyping of ScanCam 200. Prodelox AB is a leading company within product design and product development in Sweden.

The Dynamic position hold (DPH) firmware upgrade is released. The new feature makes piloting even easier for the user.

This summer, Scandicraft will introduce the Md4-1000 from Microdrones in the Nordic countries. The md4-1000 will be the larger alternative to the md4-200, with considerably higher performance.

Scandicraft is developing a new concept 'ScanCam' for perimeter security and surveillance by storing an autonomous Quadrocopter in a remotely controlled hangar system. Scandicraft have an operational prototype ready, and are looking for pilot customers, to test the prerelease V1.
